How does the ReedFinder recommendation system work?

ReedFinder uses a machine learning algorithm to analyze user preferences, and feedback to recommend the best reed for your needs. By considering more than 30 factors like grain strength, color, symmetry etc, we ensure that the recommendations are tailored to each musician.

What should I know about handling my reeds?

Reeds are delicate and require proper care to maintain their quality. Always store them in a reed case to prevent warping, avoid excessive moisture, and rotate between multiple reeds to prolong their lifespan. Proper handling ensures consistent performance.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping typically takes 1-7 business days within Europe. Exact delivery times depend on your location and the shipping method selected at checkout.

Can I return or exchange reeds?

Due to the nature of reeds as hygiene items, returns are generally not accepted unless the product is defective or damaged upon arrival.

Is there a guarantee on ReedFinder recommendations?

While our algorithm is highly accurate, it needs many datapoints to learn your preferences. If quality of the reeds doesn't improve by time, feel free to contact us for further assistance.

When is the best time to rate my reed?

We recommend rating a reed once you have completed your usual break-in routine. This gives the most accurate reflection of how the reed performs under real conditions.

Can I update my reed rating later?

Yes! If your reed gets better over time, update the rating. This way the recommendation algorithm benefits from the most up-to-date feedback. However don't update the ratings if the reed's quality gets worse over time.

What should I do if I change my mouthpiece?

If you’ve started using a new mouthpiece, it’s best to reset your profile or contact us. Since mouthpieces greatly affect reed performance, your preferences may need to be recalibrated for optimal recommendations.

Can I track my order?

Yes, once your order is shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email. You can use this number to track your package on the courier’s website for real-time updates.

Do you ship internationally?

No, we are currently only shipping to EU countries. International shipping will be possible from Q4 of 2025.
